Welcome to Flathead Fisher. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Flathead Fisher mobile application and website (collectively, the "App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Flathead Fisher is a fly fishing guide application that provides seasonal fishing intelligence, real-time river conditions, weather forecasts, hatch calendars, and AI-powered fishing reports for the Flathead Valley region of Montana. The App covers the Flathead River Main Stem, Middle Fork Flathead, North Fork Flathead, Stillwater River, Swan River, and Whitefish Lake/River.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian's consent to use the App.
Some features of the App may require you to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
The App may offer free and premium subscription tiers. Premium features, pricing, and subscription periods are described within the App at the time of purchase.
You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your device's subscription settings:
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to premium features until the end of the period you have already paid for.
All purchases are processed by Apple or Google. Refund requests must be directed to the respective Store. We do not process refunds directly.
If a free trial is offered, it will automatically convert to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Any unused portion of a free trial will be forfeited when purchasing a subscription.

All content, data, design, code, and materials in the App (including but not limited to seasonal fishing data, guide tips, hatch calendars, and AI-generated reports) are owned by or licensed to Northstar Signal LLC and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.
The App provides fishing guidance for informational purposes only. River conditions, weather, hatches, and fish behavior change rapidly and unpredictably. The App is not a substitute for local knowledge, personal judgment, or checking current Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks (FWP) regulations. You are solely responsible for complying with all applicable fishing regulations, including license requirements and the single-hook regulation on the Flathead system.
Fly fishing and wading in rivers involve inherent risks including but not limited to drowning, hypothermia, wildlife encounters, and changing water levels. The App does not guarantee your safety. Always exercise caution, check conditions in person, wear appropriate safety gear, and do not wade beyond your ability.
The App may include AI-generated fishing reports. These reports are generated by artificial intelligence and may contain inaccuracies. AI-generated content is provided for general guidance only and should not be relied upon as the sole basis for fishing decisions.
Real-time river flow data is provided by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) and weather data by the National Weather Service (NWS). We do not control the accuracy, availability, or timeliness of this data.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL NORTHSTAR SIGNAL LLC BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR USE, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Northstar Signal LLC from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising out of your use of the App or violation of these Terms.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Sections 6 through 9 survive termination.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Montana, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Flathead County, Montana.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms within the App and updating the Effective Date. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
